"I want to thank you again for guiding me on this journey. I know that the work you've helped me do is important and life-changing, yet I'm not sure I even yet understand the magnitude. I appreciate you, your insights, your experience, and your willingness to share information with me so very much. I've learned so much from you, and I am grateful."

FAQs
~Kirsten will be working in Arizona mostly via Telehealth. She is pursuing licensure in California, with an intention to begin working in person in the North Bay area in Fall, 2025~
How long will our work together take?
Successful therapy can take as little as a handful of sessions, or as long as a decade. Very often, clients work with me on an every other week or monthly basis, initially, and then either stop or schedule with me on a less frequent basis. I value providing continuity of care for my clients and client families, and have many clients come back for additional work months or years after our initial sessions.
What are Kirsten’s areas of expertise?
I am a state and nationally licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I received my Master’s Degree in Psychology in 1993, and became licensed in 1996, after years of intensive training and supervision in Washington state. I am a general practice psychotherapist with expertise in adolescence, young adulthood, family of origin work, grief and loss, and relationships with aging and/or mentally ill parents. My main focus at present is utilizing mindfulness, Internal Family Systems and somatic inquiry for cultivating change. I also particularly enjoy helping couples develop intimate relationship skills and healthy sexuality, through Deep Listening and attunement practices.
How do I become a client?
When you are ready, either email or leave a voicemail for me, to check about new client availability. I often have a wait list, though things can change quickly, and I sometimes have openings in a matter of weeks.
